A timid young man’s life is transformed when he meets the commanding leader of a motorcycle club and enters an intense, unconventional relationship.
Written and directed by Harry Lighton, and based on Adam Mars-Jones’ novel Box Hill, Pillion is a bold, funny and emotionally perceptive romantic drama about desire, power, identity and the difficult process of understanding what we truly want from another person.
The film stars Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård.
Pillion premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won Best Screenplay and the Palm Dog award for Mutt Moment. It later received ten British Independent Film Award nominations and won four awards, including Best British Independent Film.
