The Florida Project (Monday 24th July)

Set over one summer, The Florida Project follows precocious six-year-old Moonee as she courts mischief and adventure with her ragtag playmates and bonds with her rebellious but caring mother, all while living in the shadows of Walt Disney World. The Florida Project was acclaimed by critics, who lauded Sean Baker’s direction and the performances, particularly those of Brooklynn Prince, Willem Dafoe and Bria Vinaite.

For their work in the film, Dafoe earned Best Supporting Actor nominations at the Oscars, Golden Globes and BAFTAs and Prince won the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer. Both the US National Board of Review and American Film Institute chose the film as one of the top ten films of the year.
